Goal: Expand and deepen access to community and global engagement opportunities to inspire our students to make a difference.
INITIATIVE #1
Build a state-of-the-art, highly flexible, and effectively sized Upper School academic facility focusing on innovation, cross-disciplinary, and cross-divisional collaboration to enable classes and teams of students, faculty, alums, and surrounding community members to convene in scholarship.
INITIATIVE #2
Create a named Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning to further catalyze and develop industry-leading scholarship and educational programs implemented by educators at Thayer and across the globe.
INITIATIVE #3
Launch faculty summer innovation institutes to provide funding, time, and expertise to enable and inspire our teachers to generate new courses, projects, teaching methodologies, and more.
INITIATIVE #4
Explore the addition of intersession seminars and other opportunities for every student to pursue an interest or passion as part of their Thayer education, increasing meaningful engagement and developing key leadership skills.
Our FUTURE TOGETHER
Today marks not the end of our planning, but the beginning of our bright future. For nearly 150 years, we have fostered intellectual curiosity, joy, and a lifelong commitment to the common good. Now, realizing our ambitious goals will require all of us to work together. As we make progress, we will eagerly share updates as well as ways the entire community can support Thayer. Our hope is that every member of our school will lend their minds and spirit to our collective effort, just as we lend our voices to the chorus that proudly proclaims “Thayer, Thayer, Forever.”
